I spent nearly 20 years working as a frontline medical first responder, supporting people through some of the hardest moments of their lives. Those experiences deeply shape how I show up in therapy—with compassion, honesty, and a strong belief in each person’s ability to heal, grow, and find their way forward.
I take a strengths-based approach, helping people reconnect with the parts of themselves that may feel lost, worn down, or forgotten. I believe in listening closely, respecting your story, and working together in a way that feels supportive, safe, and grounded in what matters most to you.
My work draws from CBT, DBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, grief and palliative care, and trauma-informed practice. With my background in healthcare and crisis work, I understand how emotional pain shows up in the body, and I aim to support the whole person — mind, body, and heart.
I enjoy working with adults and older community members, with a special interest in women’s health. Having lived in both Canada and the Caribbean, and as a mixed-race person with Indigenous Arawak heritage, I bring cultural humility, curiosity, and respect into my work.
Outside the therapy room, I love animals, science, music, dancing, and being near the water. Laughter, nature, and connection keep me grounded — and I believe they’re powerful parts of healing too.
I’d be honoured to walk alongside you and support you through whatever you’re facing. You don’t have to do it alone.

I believe some people are born with a calling to help others. Mine began at home, watching my mother do just that. I saw firsthand how powerful a supportive, caring therapeutic relationship can be as she worked through her own healing. When she asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was simple: I wanted to be a helper.
As a Mohawk of the Six Nations of the Grand River, Turtle Clan, my identity is deeply woven into how I show up in this work. Growing up on Six Nations and in Brantford taught me the importance of community, resilience, and giving back. Supporting others in their healing is not just my career — it’s something that truly fills my heart, and I feel honoured to walk alongside the people I work with.
My approach is person-centred and relational. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to listen, understand, and support you as you make sense of what you’re going through. I bring together Indigenous ways of knowing with my academic training, which began as a mature student in my 30s. I completed my Social Service Worker diploma, an undergraduate degree in Social Development Studies at the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor of Social Work, and I am currently finishing my Master of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University.
Before joining Dragonfly, I spent eight years working in the justice system as a conflict mediator, supporting people through difficult conversations around harm, accountability, and healing. This work shaped my belief in the power of curiosity, humility, and human connection. Whether I’m working with teens, young adults, or elders, I bring a calm, grounded, and deeply empathetic presence.
Outside of work, I’m a husband and a father of two. I stay connected to community through Indigenous organizations, boards, and accountability circles, and I also express myself creatively through music, digital art, and gaming.
I would be honoured to support you in a space where you feel safe, respected, and truly heard.

Having gone through my own trauma and life challenges, I know firsthand the importance of having someone show up as a genuine person. I am committed to creating a space where you feel heard, validated, and respected. Authenticity is at the core of my practice, and I believe in fostering an environment where individuals can truly feel seen and supported.
With over 15 years of experience in mental health and social services, I’ve developed a diverse skill set and deep expertise in the field. My career has included roles as a school social worker, where I supported students’ emotional well-being, in child welfare and working with survivors of sexual abuse. I’ve also gained valuable experience in private practice with complex trauma and in settlement services with immigrants and refugees. These experiences have not only deepened my understanding of trauma but also strengthened my ability to approach therapy with compassion and a client-centered focus.
